PRESS RELEASE: KKR to sell minority stake in Nordic Bioscience to Founder Claus Christiansen

September 3, 2026

Copenhagen, 3 September 2026 – Nordic Bioscience, a global leader in biomarker
development, and KKR, a leading global investment firm, today announced that KKR has
entered into an agreement to sell its 10% minority stake in Nordic Bioscience to the company’s
founder and majority shareholder, Claus Christiansen.

KKR invested in Nordic Bioscience in 2021 through its Health Care Strategic Growth strategy,
supporting the company as it continued to expand its biomarker capabilities and strengthen
its position across R&D services, clinical diagnostics and drug development.

Kugan Sathiyanandarajah, Partner and Head of KKR’s European Healthcare Private Equity and
Healthcare Strategic Growth teams, said: “We have been proud to collaborate with Claus,
Morten and the Nordic Bioscience team over the past five years. During that time, the company
further strengthened its position as a leading biomarker business, building on its differentiated
expertise in the extracellular matrix and expanding its capabilities across R&D services, clinical
diagnostics and drug development. We are pleased with the value created during our strategic
partnership and believe Nordic Bioscience is well positioned for its next phase of growth.

Kugan Sathiyanandarajah will remain on the Board of Directors of Nordic Bioscience until the
next ordinary general meeting. In connection with the transaction, Chair Håkan Björklund has
decided to step down from the board, and Claus Christiansen will assume the role as Chair.

Claus Christiansen, Founder and majority shareholder of Nordic Bioscience, said: “KKR has
been a valued strategic partner to Nordic Bioscience, and we are grateful for their support and
expertise they have brought to the company since 2021. Over this period, we have doubled
revenue and become even more profitable, while continuing to strengthen our position in
biomarker development. I would also like to thank Håkan for his leadership as Chair and his
valuable contributions to our strategic direction and continued growth journey. Nordic
Bioscience’s business model, built around three complementary business areas that all
leverage our unique expertise in the extracellular matrix, provides a strong foundation for
continued growth and long-term value creation.
