Per Qvist has had employment in Osteometer/Nordic Bioscience since 1991. Primarily, he has been responsible for the development and production of the Company’s in vitro diagnostic products and has been directly engaged in all parts of the research and development process, including discovery, project design, establishment of proof-of-concept, patenting, feasibility, product development, production, quality management as well as regulatory compliance.
In 2007, this culminated in a transaction with UK-based Immunodiagostic Systems, which acquired the product portfolio and production facilities of Nordic Bioscience. He is now Vice President and QA Manager and became managing director for the company’s research unit in Beijing, China. In parallel, he serves as Lab Director for Synarc Research Laboratory in Copenhagen and Beijing. Per has co-authored more than 70 scientific papers, the majority within the area of bone and cartilage biomarkers.
Finally, Per Qvist is co-inventor of more than 15 patents and patent applications and has served as IP Manager for Nordic Bioscience for more than 10 years.
