Kim Henriksen is Head of Department of Bone Biology and Biomarkers at Nordic Bioscience. The department is focused on two aspects: 1) Exploring the therapeutic potential of small molecule inhibitors of the chloride channel ClC-7 for treatment of osteoporosis. 2) Developing novel biomarkers of bone turnover to be implemented for use in drug development programs as well as personal health care.

Kim Henriksen has a Master of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen and a PhD in cell biology from the University of Southern Denmark.  He has been working with pharmacology in bone since 2002 and with biomarkers since 2005. He has been Head of the Department since 2008, and in 2010 also took responsibility for the Neurodegenerative disease research group at Nordic Bioscience.

Kim Henriksen has published more than 60 papers on Pubmed, has presented at several international meetings for bone biology and biomarkers, and has received young investigator awards at the three most prestigious meetings in the bone biology field.
