Anne C. Bay-Jensen is the Head of the Cartilage biology and Biomarkers department, as well as of the Cancer Research group and the Biomarker validation team at Nordic Bioscience. All three groups are deeply involved in the research, discovery and development of tissue and disease specific biomarkers. To support the biomarker research, extensive biological research is being conducted. The groups are continuously educating and employing PhD students, Science major students and technical staff, which creates a solid scientific foundation.

The aim of the groups to develop new and better diagnostic technologies for implementation in drug development programs and eventually for improved management of the millions of people over the world suffering from serious diseases such as cancer and arthritis. The work of the Dept. of Rheumatology is focused on the development of serological biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis and efficacy.

Anne C. Bay-Jensen has a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen (2003) and a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Southern Denmark (2008). She has been working in the field of biomarkers since 2003. She has been department manager since 2009 and has taken the responsibility for the Cancer research group at Nordic bioscience in 2011. She has more 35 articles published in both biomarkers development and translational science.
