Morten Karsdal joined Nordic Bioscience in 2001 and has been CEO of Nordic Bioscience A/S since June 2010.

Since 2002, Morten Karsdal has focused his research on the discovery and development of novel biochemical markers. This has resulted in the development of more than 60 ELISA assays for detecting biomarkers that have been used for research in the fields of fibrosis, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. One of these assays has been 510(k) approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the USA.

Morten Karsdal has published more than 327 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals and has an H-factor of 58 (MAY 2017).

Jeppe Ragnar Andersen joined Nordic Bioscience in 2007 and became Head of Clinical Development in 2010. Jeppe has been CEO of Nordic Bioscience Clinical Development A/S since January 2014.

Jeppe is actively doing research into clinical trial methodology with a special focus on implementing risk-based monitoring and cost-benefit optimization. Over the years, Jeppe has been involved on an operational and executive level in numerous clinical studies with more than 15,000 patients within the therapeutic fields of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and diabetes.

He has headed the successful merging of two clinical development departments and an expansion of the department with highly motivated employees from 3 employees to 30 employees in 5 years.

Per Qvist

Per Qvist

Per Qvist joined Nordic Bioscience in 1991 and assumed the position as Vice President and Quality Assurance Manager at Nordic Bioscience Laboratory A/S in 2007.

Per’s primary responsibility is management of the central laboratory as well as the production of in vitro diagnostic products. In 2010, Nordic Bioscience Laboratory was accredited by College of American Pathologists (CAP) and until today we remain the only lab in Scandinavia with this achievement.

Per has co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, the majority in the area of bone and cartilage biomarkers.

Thomas Nielsen

Thomas Nielsen

Thomas Nielsen joined Nordic Bioscience as CFO in January 2007 after being responsible for the external financial audit of the company since 2003.

Thomas is overall responsible for the administration in Nordic Bioscience which handles all financial, administrative, legal, IT and corporate matters.
